Just doesn’t make sense to buy the Isabel Murants for hundreds of dollars, when they make just as good of a shoe but doesn’t have the label associated with it. Oh well! These shoes are gorgeous and affordable…they look damn near the same! Ok great, would it be nice to have a pair of the designer shoes, of course, for free! </p> <p><br/> (Side note:)<br/> My passion, my desire, my job is to help people look good for the least amount of money. At an event the other day, a pair of sisters commented on how they loved my outfit. Before telling them where I shopped, they asked me to give my opinion about their outfit, then proceeded to tell me about each thing she was wearing, and stated each name brand proudly…and her sister chimed in like “She thinks you’re a fool!” I laughed and said well yes, I went to Marshals and got both the dress and sandals I was wearing and probably paid less for my entire outfit than she did with one piece she was wearing. They absolutely couldn’t believe it. That’s the point…the point is to look flawless, superb, to look like you spent a lot of money on something when you actually didn’t! If you can look like a million bucks without actually spending it…you’ve done well!!  Is it because she is the queen of the fashion world, people don’t dare say she is poorly dressed?  She looks like she is wearing a little girls school dress-turned gown.  I also don’t fully understand why people “hear” the word fashion, and it somehow translates to “costume”?  I’ve been seeing ridiculous outfits on the red carpet, and it’s almost like they are making a mockery of it.  Kudos to them for living outside the box…but damn!  Over the top (poorly done) can be over kill.  Yikes!   </p> <p>Well, here are my top picks for best dressed.  These are the women who I thought pulled off the theme best!  (side note: you never see me have many black dresses up on my best dressed lists-but all of them are this time around!  Just seems to be appropriate for the occasion:punk!)       </p> <p>1.  <strong>Jennifer Lopez</strong> per uzh my #1-in a Michael Khors animal print dress.  Her dress is couture-but her HAIR!, totally punk.  The perfect mix between punk and couture.  LOVE LOVE LOVE.  </p> <p>2.  <strong>Taylor Swift</strong> in J-Mendel-she is just totally blowing me away with her style as of late.  All grown up and killing it!</p> <p>3.  <strong>Doutzen Kroes</strong> in a Theyskens Theory quilted leather dress with a silk organza inner skirt-leather and organza-punk and couture.  Well done.</p> <p>4.  <strong>Rosie Huntington Whiteley</strong> in Gucci-loving the sheer top paired with the green silky bottom-with just enough to cover all the right areas.  Punk on the top, couture on the bottom!</p> <p>5.  <strong>Nina Dobrev</strong> in Altuzarra Monique Lhulloer-so very punk with the pants underneath the sheer outer gown-totally doing the whole theme perfectly.  LOVE.</p> <p>6.  D<strong>onatella Versace</strong> in one of her own-taking the spikes trend to the red carpet.  Wear them with jeans, white jeans and a solid color tee, or practically anything solid from head to toe.  </p> <p>If you aren’t as daring, trying these hot black patent leather high tops…a cool twist on a regular ole shoe!  The lines on this shoe rock…separating a boring sneaker from this one!  </p> <p>If you’re somewhere in the middle of the road, not too too edgy, but want a little something something, try my last pick- a subtle multi color goodness.  A little more excitement on an all white sneaker, you could simply wear this dynamically designed shoe in it’s place.  Just try to stay away from a lot of patterns or prints.  Let these beauties do all the talking!  Weekend Getaway Packing Tips</strong></p> <p>One of my most favorite things to do during the warmer months is pack up and go on spontaneous trips.  Here are some ideas on how to pack for your quick weekend getaway!</p> <p>How I would change things up…</p> <p>-Most likely you won’t need a suit, unless you are a suit guy.  So immediately, I would maybe suit pants back in the closet and change it for a nice pair of pants.  You’ll more than likely be going out with your beaut to dinner or to a lounge…always remember, being over dressed is wayyyyy better than be under dressed.  Being over dressed just means you’ll be the best dressed in the room :)</p> <p>-Keep the blazer if that’s your thing-if not, pull out a light sleek jacket or sweater.  I love mixing the jacket with a T-shirt…so if wearing a jacket is your style, try wearing a nice (emphasis on NICE) tee underneath!  </p> <p>-Loafers will be a huge trend this season…versatile-can be dressed up or dressed down-wear it with your dressier pants and/or jeans.  Or if not, switch it out with a pair of oxfords.</p> <p>-Side note:  LOVE gray suits! I love their swim suit section because it’s always best (for me) that they sell separates. These 2 pieces absolutely do not go together, the shiny bottom had a shiny top to match but thought it would be too much. Found a color that would compliment the bottoms well. You should all try this! You don’t need to buy the matching pieces to bathing suits because that’s how they were designed. Design your own! And also-the shiny top’s cut was not made for me…so keep this in mind when you are shopping.
